One girl’s unfulfilled dream fuels the spirit of giving and advocacy as hundreds of supporters join forces to organize Nataline’s Fashion Legacy, 4th annual fashion show to honor the memory of a beloved daughter, sister, niece and friend. Nataline Sarkisyan forever dreamed of making national headlines—as a fashion designer. She anticipated attending FIDM (Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising) in Los Angeles after she graduated high school and pursuing a career in fashion design. She dreamed of seeing her name and designs on the cover of fashion magazines. Instead, her name was highlighted on CNN, Dateline NBC and other national and international media outlets—Nataline Sarkisyan DENIED Life-Saving Operation. That’s not the headline and fame Nataline was after. Shortly after undergoing a bone marrow transplant, Nataline’s body demanded a liver transplant operation. Her insurance carrier denied the repeated requests of several doctors and refused the life-saving operation. On December 20, 2007, Nataline passes away at the young age of 17. With your help, Nataline’s dreams can be pursued by others. The Nataline Sarkisyans Foundation, a non-profit 501(c) (3) has been working diligently to provide high school seniors with scholarships and additional resources for continuing education in Fashion, Medical and Culinary Art.
