Nataline Sarkisyan died from leukemia in 2007. After rounds of chemotherapy and bone marrow transplant from her brother, doctor’s told her family Nataline’s only hope for survival was a liver transplant.
The family says the insurance company denied and delayed the transplant… until it was too late.
The Sarkisyans waged a high profile battle with the insurance company, and are still working towards making a change someday in the health care system.
In the meantime, they’re doing what they can to keep their daughter’s memory alive.
After Nataline’s death the family found twenty-two sketches in her room and decided to make her dream of becoming a fashion designer a reality.
Once a year the Sarkisyan’s host Nataline’s Fashion Legacy to bring the community together.
Every year one of Nataline’s creations comes to life…
